Bulverde is located right in the center of growth and commerce. The City is 23 miles north of San Antonio on Highway 281 and Highway 46. Currently there are approximately 5000 residents.
In 2017, the City of Bulverde was awarded the Scenic City Certification . The Scenic City program supports and recognizes cities for commitment to high-quality scenic standards for public roadways and public spaces.
The residents attend the Comal Independent School District.
More than 20,000 new homes will be built in the area during the next 10 years. Currently the City is processing 18 major plats for land development. This growth will generate vast economic opportunities for residents and businesses throughout Comal County. Recent community developments include Singing Hills and Johnson Ranch.
Things to Do in Bulverde
There are several parks in the area: Guadalupe River State Park, Canyon Lake, Canyon Lake Gorge, Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch, Guadalupe Canoe Livery and Natural Bridge Caverns. There is also the Tejas Rodeo Company, S.T.A.G.E Live Theatre, and Sixty Equestrian Center.
Local events include the Bulverde Jubilee, Spring Chicken Festival, Annual Christmas Lighting, Roar for Kids Car Show , The Bulverde Area Arts Center and Annual Run for the Hills.
