Comfort, Texas is centrally located between Fredericksburg, Boerne, and Kerrville and is about 45 minutes north of San Antonio on Interstate 10.   The Town is unincorporated and is about 3.5 square miles.  The town features almost 100 historic building constructed before 1910.   Much of the town is designated a National Historic District.   This Texas Hill Country gem is known for its antique shopping, bed and breakfasts,  and mountain biking at Flat Rock Ranch .  In addition to the abundant shopping,  there is the Buckhorn Golf Course and several local wineries to tour.

The Comfort Chamber of Commerce is the official Chamber for the area and has been serving the area  for over 60 years.

Comfort is located in Kendall County and the residents attend Comfort Independent School District.   Currently, there are about 3500 residents.
